Algeria

CNOOC International has a 24.5% working interest in the Hassi Bir Rekaiz project, located onshore in northeastern Algeria, alongside partners SONATRACH (51%) and PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (24.5% and operator).

Republic of the Congo (Brazzaville)

CNOOC International continues to explore offshore of the Republic of the Congo (Brazzaville) through its 45% operated position of the Haute Mer A block.

Gabon

CNOOC International – through its CNOOC West Africa Holdings Limited affiliate – holds a 100% working interest and is the operator in Blocks BC 9 and BCD 10, offshore Gabon. 

In 2014, a large deepwater gas discovery on the BCD 10 licence was announced following the drilling and appraisal of the Leopard-1 well, located approximately 145 kilometres off the Gabon coast. Multiple pre-and-post-salt prospects and leads have been identified with high exploration potential. 

Senegal

CNOOC International holds a 65% operating interest in the AGC Profond Block, located offshore between Senegal and Guinea-Bissau. Our partners include Impact Oil and Gas (20% working interest) and Enterprise AGC (15% working interest).
