Strengthening our position in Africa
CNOOC International, through its CNOOC West Africa Holdings Limited affiliate, has executed agreements to become the 100% working interest owner and operator of the BC9 and BCD10 licences, located offshore Gabon.
CNOOC International has been in the blocks since 2012 with a 25% non-operated working interest alongside Shell, who was the operator. The licences are approximately 50 kilometres offshore Gabon.
Work is also underway to secure suitable work facilities in Gabon's capital, Libreville, and Port Gentil to support planned drilling activity.
