Organizations eligible to receive funding are:
- Charitable organizations with proof of status as defined by the laws of the country in which they operate. For example:
- Registration number from the Canada Revenue Agency
- 501(c)3 status in the United States
- Registration number from the Charity Commission in England and Wales
- Registration with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator
- Registered charity number from the Charities Regulator in Ireland
- Non-profit organizations with a business number or equivalent information
- Community organizations
- Indigenous groups
Exclusions
The following requests are not eligible for funding:
- Goodwill advertising
- Individuals
- Research
- Feasibility studies
- Debt reduction campaigns
- Business conferences, seminars, congresses and workshops
- Service clubs and fraternal organizations
- Third-party fundraisers
- Professional associations and events
- Private foundations
- Religious organizations that do not provide non-denominational community support services
- Professional sports teams
- Students or alumni associations
- Political donations
